Padma Gordon
"Padma Gordon, M.Ed. is a Transformational Coach, mindfulness teacher, movement educator, author, mother, and lover of life who has been assisting people on their evolutionary journeys for more than 30 years. Her work is grounded in the understanding that healing and growth arise through mindful awareness, self-compassion, and the willingness to explore one’s inner world with honesty, courage, and curiosity.
Padma’s life has been a deep exploration of body, heart, and soul. She has traveled extensively, immersing herself in diverse cultures and wisdom traditions, and has brought this richness into her professional work. She served as the founder and artistic director of Jeh Kulu Dance & Drum Theatre in Burlington, Vermont, and later as Executive Director of the Leela Foundation in Bolinas, California. These leadership roles reflect her lifelong commitment to integrating movement, creativity, and contemplative practice as pathways to transformation.
Her personal journey has been equally formative. As a single mother to her daughter, Meera, Padma was shaped by the profound teachings of motherhood. In 2024, she had the sacred honor of accompanying her mother, Roz, through the final chapter of her life, an experience that deepened her reverence for impermanence and the preciousness of each moment. She lives with a felt sense awareness that life is sacred and approaches each day as an invitation to participate fully in the celebration of being.
Padma has been meditating for over 45 years and teaching meditation for the past 15. Her practice began at age 15 when she encountered Ram Dass’s Be Here Now, a moment that set the trajectory for her lifelong dedication to self-inquiry and presence. Today she works with individuals around the world including coaches, therapists, and healers, guiding them beyond conceptual understanding into direct experience. She is a popular teacher on the Insight Timer app, where she has built a global community of more than 17,000 followers and offers weekly live meditations.
For more than two decades, Padma has facilitated groups that foster authentic connection and emotional resilience. She leads a weekly Women’s Empowerment Circle through Raregivers.global, supporting caregivers living within complex medical realities as they navigate both the challenges and unexpected gifts of caring for loved ones.
Padma is the author of Being Together: Practical Wisdom for Loving Yourself and Your Partner and The Being Together Workbook, which blend psychological insight, embodiment practices, and spiritual wisdom to help people cultivate more compassionate and authentic relationships.
She offers online counseling for individuals and couples, as well as her group program, What I REALLY Want to Say Is…, empowering participants to communicate with clarity, courage, and heartfelt vulnerability. Padma is devoted to helping people live more consciously, love more fully, and experience the freedom that comes from being deeply present with life as it is.
